What ScoreCaddy stores, why, and how to get rid of it.
What is collected
Your email address and display name. Used to sign you in and to show your name on a scorecard. Nothing else.
Your rounds. Course name, hole count, the players on the card, and the strokes. Scores are stored on your phone first; if you are signed in they are also stored on our server so you do not lose them with the phone.
Guests. When you add someone to a card who does not use ScoreCaddy, only the name you type is stored. No email, no contacts access, no attempt to identify them.
What is not collected
No location. No contacts. No advertising identifiers. No analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties, because there are none.
Who can see it
You, and anyone you share a round with. Passwords are stored only as an Argon2id hash and cannot be read, by us or anyone else.
Deleting it
Settings, then Delete account. It is immediate and permanent: your account, your rounds on the phone, and your scores on your own cards are removed.
Rounds you played with other people stay on their cards, with your name unclaimed. Deleting them would rewrite someone else's history of a game they played, so ScoreCaddy does not.
You can also export everything to a file at any time from Settings, then Backup & export, whether or not you intend to delete anything.
Two kinds, both transactional: verifying your address and resetting your password. No marketing email.
Children
ScoreCaddy is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
